Ode to a good friend

Hello my subjects. I have a sad tale to tell today. A few weeks ago a dear friend crossed the rainbow bridge. I thought a small tribute was in order.

The big galoot
In his black and white suit
He gives a hoot
And doesn’t pollute
But if he eats fruit
It’s rooty toot toot….

Love ya man!

Hope your having fun in the big couch in the sky. We miss you and it isn’t quite the same without you. Peace, Petey.

I am an artiste!

Hello my subjects! I am feeling quite satisfied today! I finally completed my latest artwork project.

Artistic Inspiration Strikes!

The humans left me the raw materials so I assume they both wanted and expected me to apply my considerable talents to the task and produce an exquisite objet d’art.

As you can see, I had to put in a lot of work. I had to skip my morning nap and my afternoon nap and just crush it all day long in order to finish the sculpture part before they returned from wherever it is they go each day. Especially tricky was dealing with the scraps I removed from the raw materials in order to reveal the true beauty underneath. Frankly, I’m exhausted from this project.

Let’s collaborate!

I’m still mulling over how to finish this project. The basic sculpture is there, that’s true. But is it enough? Should I apply some kind of decorative finish? Hmmm, I may need to involve those pesky canines with this part. But I’d rather work with humans on this one. They are, as you know, a bit smarter than the dogs.

Do you have any ideas to finish the artwork? Do your humans?

I punctured my human

My loyal subjects, yesterday, there was a problem. My human was carrying me and someone walked toward us with a small piece of carpet tile, which was flapping about ominously. As you could imagine, this alarmed me. I launched, gaining traction with full use of my claws, as anyone would. It was only after I dodged certain carpet death that I realized that I had punctured my human, in several places. They can be quite noisy when wounded like that, and disruptions to their constant dedication to serving me can also result from woundings, so I do try to avoid damaging them. Oh my, much work ahead of me today comforting the human. Mental note, try harder not to puncture them next time.
